At MassMutual, Project Manager Chris Gloster is responsible for project management including controlling budgets, negotiating subcontracts, and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. Chris holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, and engineers, resulting in successful construction experiences.
With a degree in both carpentry and masonry from SUNY NY at Delhi University, Chris has over 30 years' experience overseeing all phases of multi-million-dollar construction projects, including infrastructure, for private sector clients. Other highlights of his work include extensive HVAC improvements, site improvements, utility relocations, asbestos abatement, concrete form & flat work construction, and tenant improvement projects of both occupied and unoccupied spaces.
Chris also has a broad background in construction contract scenarios, including design-build, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), cost plus fixed fee, and hard bid. Throughout his career, he has worked with all trades associated with construction projects from design development with architects, engineers, MEP design, pre-construction to scheduling, submitting approvals, project execution to project closeout.
Chris holds a MA. Unrestricted Construction Supervisors License as well as a MA. Hoisting License; is certified in office Ergonomics and OSHA 30 certified.
Chris is listed with the U.S. Patent Dept. as an inventor of a lifting apparatus tool for office furniture and other equipment.
