Officers

President:

Jess Bigelow

Massachusetts Maritime Graduate with a degree in Marine Engineering and USCG Chief Engineer License. Jess has spent many years on the water and has made a successful transition to landside. After shipping, she taught at Mass Maritime and SUNY Maritime. She has a master's degree in Facilities Management and has managed facilities, specializing in Data Center and Critical Engineering. She has filtration expertise from working at Filter Sales. She enjoys networking and helping people find employment in careers they are passionate about. Always looking to learn new things Jess is currently in the construction industry building a data center.

Vice President:

Paul Beauchemin

Paul is the Facilities Operations Manager at Western New England University. Paul has over 30 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, and has worked in both industrial and facilities maintenance. Paul holds certificates from both The New England Fuel Institute and The Diesel Technical Institute.

Secretary / Webmaster:

Laura White

Laura earned both her Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering and a Master of Science in Facilities Management from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

She sailed as a licensed engineer with Maersk for several years before coming shoreside and currently works for GE Vernova as the Americas Leader for the engineering QRC (Quick Response Center).

Laura is a mom of 4 and can often be seen cheering them on at their numerous sporting events or assistant coaching. In her free time Laura enjoys playing softball, reading, and riding her motorcycle.

Scholarship Chair:

Mauro De Maio

Mauro has been part of AFE/AIPE since 1993.  He has been a consistent supporter of the Pioneer Valley Chapter 85 while serving in various positions: Membership Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, VP, and President. 

Mauro is enjoying his retirement from Smith & Wesson Corporation where he served for 43 years in various wonderful opportunities and challenging assignments, including Plant Engineering and Facilities Management.  He led multidisciplinary teams to support electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, civil, and environmental activities throughout the plants.  He has a diverse technical and project management background which allowed him to successfully implement cutting-edge technology, including a recent 2.6MW Solar Carport System.

Mauro earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Western New England University.

Golf Tournament Chair:

Dennis Reardon

Dennis has a degree in Architectural Engineering and has over 20 Years of experience in the Food Service Industry from being a lead designer of Commercial Kitchens, to Project Management and now a Manufacturing Representative with E3 Commercial Kitchen Solutions. Dennis works with end users in the College and University Market as well as Business and Industry Accounts to consult on Energy Efficient Design and create concepts that meet the Sustainability goals of Facilities.

Chris Gloster

Chris became a member of the Pioneer Valley Chapter 85 of AFE in March of 2013.  He joined the Board as a Director in 2015. 

Chris has a degree in Occupational Studies from State University of New York, Delhi.

Chris has worked in residential and commercial construction for over 25 years. He holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License, & Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer License.

Chris started with his current employer, MassMutual Financial Group, in 1997 as a carpenter; his current role is Project Specialist, managing construction and renovation projects.

As an avid skier, Chris is proud of his 12-year commitment to the National Ski Patrol as an Alpine Patroller and Instructor.

Greg Dia

With over a decade of experience in the commercial roofing industry, Greg Diamond is a seasoned Field Advisor with Tremco. Specializing in delivering long-term performance to building owners and facility managers by managing the life cycle of the entire building envelope. His deep understanding of the commercial roofing landscape allows him to mitigate the disruptions caused by roof leaks, ensuring smooth operations for facilities managers and building occupants

Greg has been involved with the AFE (Chapters 33 & 74) since 2014.  Now a resident of Western MA, he is eager to support Chapter 85. Greg values the facility tours and the opportunity to learn about the robust and diverse facilities across the state.

Outside of his professional life, Greg cherishes spending quality time with his family. When he's not coaching or attending his kids' sporting events, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors.

National Representative:

Ryan Sullivan

Ryan is currently the Director of Client Services- Education Vertical. He provides a depth of knowledge and passion in the facilities and construction management industry from over 20 years of experience, developing strategic growth initiatives in the Northeast/Central and Southeast regions, including developing and implementing G2M strategies, IFM solutions, Condition assessments and Deficiency/Capital planning.

Ryan also loves to spend time with family, on the boat, fishing, at the beach and coach his son’s baseball team.
